DIY Mini Congratulations Wedding Card

This is a small cute card made for the couple of the night. Our inspired version of cute owl wearing tie representing the groom looking at his pretty bride with pink ribbon and button on her dress. We did some stamping of heart shape, plane, and camera too for the insert. Can you spot them? :)

Inspired: DIY Wedding Card Box

Hello there!

Today, I am inspired to do a wedding card box for my sis' wedding which is just around the corner. That's fast! I thought I have more time to add-on more wedding stuffs to it. Hopefully I can make it. Yikes... Below are few of the creative ideas diy-ed by other bride-to-be from all around the world. You can click the link in the 'credit to' to view their page/original site. I'm pinning it here for own view and for inspirations. The first two wedding card boxes look elegant with satin-finish look. I like it but I am not really good at making round box and I don't want to spend on a plain round box. So, I will probably stick with square boxes.

To DIY Bridal Hanger?

What do you think? I've been drooling over tons of websites with DIY bridal hanger. Look what I've found from google images.; plenty of beautiful bridal wire hangers, custom-made with bride's name or with the word 'bride', 'mrs', and anything you can think of. It was not in the plan to DIY this but I think my hand is itchy and I'm reallly eager to try this out.

Beautiful initialed hangers (it's very easy, refer to the link below for the diy tutorials)

I love all the ideas using initials, ribbons, embellishment, wire and so on. I am still thinking if there's any other method that I can do for the bridal hangers like the above. Let's wait and see.

Stay Tune!

Chinese Wedding Invitation Wording & A Thank You Note

I made the thank you tag above to express my gratitude/thanks to my translator (who is probably sitting staring her PC at her work hub now) :p

The "Thank You Tag" was made with two types of art card/paper and was cut with craft scissors. Photo was taken with Samsung Notes (with photo background edited with Pixlr-o-matic : Hagrid,Barock,Flowery)

So, a big THANK YOU to Ms. Claudia C.H.H. for the help and effort in the completion of my DIY wedding invitation card. This chinese illiterate girl here couldn't have made this without your chinese characters! Don't worry, you will receive the invitation soon~

DIY Wedding Invitation Card

After searching online and offline for weeks for the invitation card suppliers, at last we've decided to go d.i.y. There goes my journey to search for ideas and wedding supplies, wedding stationeries and etc. Thorough research was done to get the theme and to express a unique personalized wedding card, reflecting the  bride's style and not forgetting to stick within a budget. So, here goes my draft using Paint to create colour combination and to see roughly how it'll look like. A modern chinese design with a combination of the word "hei' - double happiness and pink polka dots motif (bride's fav). Colour was chosen based on the day-time ceremony theme colour. (Hint of fuschia, pink or light pink).

-The first sketch-

-Thought of combining lace effect on card-

-"Hei" preparation-

-Randomly punched-out leaves design and got this design,
a plain bright pink ribbon in front of pink polka dot ribbon-

-Trying out with straight border 'pearl red and pearl white colour' with swiss dots ribbon-

-Trimmed border with craft scissor to give a wavy border design-

That's all my draft. Probably will stick to the last one. Simple design but requires time and patience. Well, isn't that what DIY is all about?
